FILE  STOMPER

It’s here! I’ve incorporated all my apps in to one amazing program- File Stomper! Built from the ground up (mainly because I misplaced my source codes for my other applications) to be more streamline with drag and drop interface with low screen space occupation.

Version 1.1.9 is out!

Major features of File Stomper:

• OWN: dropping FILES here will move them to their own individually named folders
• LEVEL DOWN: dropping things here will move them one directory down
• ICONIZE: dropping things here will searches FOLDERS for JPGs or PNGs and set them as the folder icon(500x faster than ZIA Plus app!)
• ICONIZE OPTION: extracts mp3 album art to folder if no JPGs or PNGs are found
• RENAME: dropping stuff here will search FOLDERS for Mp3 ID3 tags and rename folders in [artist] – format
• RENAME OPTION: choosing this opition for RENAME will gather FOLDERS that don’t have album/artist names and move them to the ‘[]-TAG ME- []‘ folder
• SEARCH: dropping something here will search the specified site for images of the FILE/FOLDER
• SAVE: dropping an image here from a website will save it
• SAVE/ICONIZE: choosing this option will set saved image as FOLDER icon

New features in version 1.11:

• .JPG: dropping images here will save them as ‘Folder.jpg’ in the respective folder
• CLEAN UP: dropping any folders/files here will remove all empty directories
• COVERS: dropping FOLDERS here will automatically search each folder and set MP3s Album art using its Folder.jpg or ony other image if Folder.Jpg does not exist in the folder (!!!! this mean you can automatically add album art to 1000s of mp3s in seconds!)
• SAVE ALBUM ART: choosing this option will set the saved image as the mp3’s Album Art

New features in version 1.1.2:

• PROGRAM LOG: a log is generated for errors so problematic files can be quickly found.
• SAVE MODE: this mode makes saving files from online searches easier.
• VA – : Adds a ‘VA – ” to the front of folder name i.e. Various Artists

New changes in version 1.1.3:

• fixed a memory leak and possible exception between ID3 v2.2 and v2.3 picture framework in COVERS task
• made the program log temporary by removal with program exit

New changes in version 1.1.4:

• check for issues with album art and ID3 v2.4 (grrr!) before launching online album art search.

New changes in version 1.1.5:

• added access to program log and error flag.
• created two versions- public build and personal build. The personal build does not show any windows if errors are encountered- just a error flag over the ‘Log’ button.

new changes in version 1.1.6:

• fixed release of files during searches
• added id3 tags for mp3 search criteria which looks like this:

new changes in version 1.1.7:

• Bug fix for folder rename after adding album art
• Bug fix that froze application if ID3 2.4 mp3 loaded
• BULK ACTIONS: now FileStomper does other tasks automatically if the check box for that action is checked

new changes in version 1.1.8:

• Added check all three bulk actions button for faster selection

new changes in version 1.1.9:

• Error sound: Added an error sound when writing error to LOG file. This is more useful for people using the personal edition.

HINT: click on help button in the program to see what each part does as you move your mouse over them.

USB Drive friendly – This is a single file which can also run off a USB drive!

Known issues: File Stomper currently only supports English language characters. File names with accents might not be recognized.
